Clinic gives 810

doses of vaccine

A walk-in covid-19 clinic at a Little Rock-CHI St. Vincent community-care facility administered 810 doses of vaccine earlier this month, said Joshua Cook, a hospital spokesman.

The March 13 event was held at 2500 E. Sixth St., a community clinic where CHI St. Vincent personnel offer care in partnership with the city using a sliding-scale that takes into account a patient's ability to pay.

The clinic administered the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, one of the three vaccines approved for use in the U.S. to combat the coronavirus.

Library-talk focus

on capital access

The Central Arkansas Library System will host a researcher at noon Thursday for a discussion about a report on barriers to capital access for women- and minority-owned businesses.

Julia Chears-Young, owner and principal researcher for Precise Data Consulting LLC, is to discuss results of a "comprehensive survey" of business owners in Arkansas, according to the library system.

People can register for the event, which is part of the library system's Rock It! Lab entrepreneurship hub and seminar series, at cals.org.
