Construction starting Monday on the Interstate 40 overpass over Salem Road will cause lane closures and traffic delays in Conway, according to an Arkansas Department of Transportation news release.
The outside eastbound lane of the overpass at Exit 124 will be closed at 7 p.m. Monday and continue to be closed until the estimated two-week project is complete.
The project will include hydro-demolition of the bridge driving surface and a latex modified concrete overlay.
Loads wider than 10 feet traveling eastbound will be required to exit at 124 and use U.S. 64 to U.S. 65B.
Traffic barrels and barricades will be used to control traffic. Drivers are asked to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through work zones.
