Pilot, passenger survive plane crash near Morrilton

Two people escaped serious injuries after their plane crashed Thursday in a wooded area near Morrilton, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m., when a Beechcraft A35 experienced engine issues, a preliminary report by the agency states.

The plane, which was carrying the pilot and one passenger, experienced substantial damage, according to the agency. No injuries were reported, however.
