Deacons vote in support of Immanuel Baptist pastor

59% of voting board members give Smith a vote of confidence; 17 deacons did not participate

Immanuel Baptist Church Lead Pastor Steven Smith received a vote of confidence from the board of deacons Sunday evening, with 59% supporting him and 41% opposing him, deacon Chairman Greg Crain announced in an email shortly after the meeting adjourned.
