Little Rock police probing restaurant shooting

The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning that involved three people and left two of them injured, according to a police report.

The incident occurred at 2:13 a.m. at the Shooters Sports Bar and Grill at 9500 on Interstate 30.

According to a police report, Terrance Knowlton, 34; Erick Beasley, 35; and Dmaury Wilson, 35, had just left the establishment in a 2019 GMC Terrain when the shooting happened.

According to the report, Knowlton was driving, Beasley was in the front passenger seat and Wilson was in the back seat when an unknown subject in an unknown vehicle pulled up beside them on the access road in front of the club and began firing at them.

All three men were unsure how many gunshots there were, the report said.

When it was over, Knowlton had a gunshot wound to his upper right arm and Wilson was suffering from multiple wounds, the report said.

The three men told officers they don't have any enemies and no idea why they would be targeted, the report said.

Off-duty officers near the scene said they did not hear any shots and couldn't locate a possible crime scene at the location, according to the report.

Little Rock man being sought in cutting incident

Police are looking for a Little Rock man in connection with a cutting incident Friday night.

According to a police report, Jared C. Meyer, 37, of 8723 Baseline Road, Unit H3, is the suspect in the incident that happened at his residence at 10:24 p.m.

The report said officers responded to the address and found victim Odell Smith, 37, in Unit G3, suffering from a laceration to his neck.

Smith would not tell officers how his injury occurred or who had done it, according to the report.

Two other residents of the apartment, Kevin Jones and Yolanda Brown, said they did not see what happened but heard a loud argument outside, the report said. They opened the door to find Smith bleeding from his neck.

Jones and Brown said the suspect was likely a white man, Meyer, who lived in unit H3, according to the report.

Officers made contact with Meyer's girlfriend, Shannon Smith, who said she did not see or hear the altercation.

Officers found blood inside the apartment and a blood trail between units H3 and G3.

Odell Smith was taken to a hospital and Shannon Smith was detained for questioning, the report said.
