Tony Bell

Mr. Tony Bell, 54, of Blytheville died Saturday, July 31, at his home. He was co-owner and operator of Tomorrow's Child Learning Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Lion's Club, a Mason and on the board of the Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Bell was involved in many hobbies: he was very active in politics both on the state and national scene, he loved gadgets! He very adept at building computers or working on any kind of machinery or technology project (his friends brought their computers to him for him to repair), and he was also a big fan of rock and roll music. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Daphne Simpson Bell; one daughter, Elizabeth Bell of Blytheville; one son, Michael Bell of Little Rock; three brothers: Charlie Bell of Batesville, Ark., Aubrey Bell of North Charleston, S.C. and Jimmy Bell of Gosnell; and his mother-in-law, Bettie Simpson of Payneway' numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and the staff and children of Tomorrow's Child Learning Center. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Bell and Dena Drane Joiner Bell, and one sister, Margaret McClung. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3 from 5 until 8 at Carney Funeral Home, 1501 Byrum Rd. in Blytheville. Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.
