Huey Dentise Hixson, 72, of Searcy passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010. He was born Saturday, March 19, 1938 in Tyler, Arkansas to the late Dentise and Laura Ettie Miller Hixson.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hixson was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Hixson. Huey is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home, two daughters, Denise Swafford (Ricky) and Laura Ann Arnold (Charlie) both of Searcy, three grandchildren, Amanda Blythe (Robert), Ethan Swafford, and Breanna Joyce Arnold; one great-grandchild, Noah Allen Blythe; one brother, Erman Hixson (Ota); other relatives and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Hixson will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Pine View Church of Christ north of Searcy with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers for memorials in Huey's honor be sent to the White County Medical Foundation Cancer Center, 3214 East Race Street, Searcy, Arkansas, 72143.
