Myrna Maxine Smith, 98, of Bryant, Ark., died Thursday at her home. She was born July 8, 1912 at Salem, Mo., the daughter of Frank Willie and Anna Ellizabeth Doty Head. She owned and operated the Kozy Korner Kafe and managed the Crossbow Restaurant in Huntsville before becoming administrator of the Madison County Hospital and Meadowview Lodge Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church near Marble and the widow of Tom Earl Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Roberta Walker of Bryant; one brother, Lloyd Head of Long Beach, Calif.; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Tim and Debbie Walker of East End, Ark., and Tom Walker of Bryant; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Teresa and Tom Lambert of Little Rock; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with David Tackett, Minister officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. Pallbearers will be: Tim Walker; Tom Walker; Tom Lambert; Tyler Walker; Greg Head; and Joe Head. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jim Vaughan; A. T. Smith; Bill Fitch; and Tillman Lane. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
