Valda P. Skipper

Valda P. Skipper, 72, of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. She was born May 6, 1938 in Vilonia to the late Opie John and Winnie Waller Parks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Skipper, and stepsons, Jim and Ricky Skipper. Mrs. Skipper worked for Dillard's in accounts receivable. She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School. Survivors include her sister, Leonda P. Mattison, brother, John W. Parks (Rita), nieces, Theresa Champion (Charles), Donna Smith, nephew, David Parks, great-nephew, Jon Paul Champion (Lori), great-niece, Rebecca McWilliams (Kyle), stepdaughter, Renee Sears, and three step-grandchildren, Ashley Skipper Belew, Jason Skipper, Krystal Kile (Tim), two great-grandchildren, Ryan Skipper, and Sydney Belew, and friends, Bill and Margaret Dawson, and George W. "Skip" Yawney. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136. Interment will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
