Billy Kenneth "Sonny" Long

Billy Kenneth "Sonny" Long, 76, of Bald Knob, died Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born February 2, 1934 in Tuckerman, Arkansas, a son of the late Hurshel and Loretta Kennedy Long. Sonny and his wife, Margaret, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2010, moved back to this area 19 years ago after spending their working years in Fox Lake, Illinois. Sonny was a retired millwright with Komatsu. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and most anything outside. He was an active member of the NRA and was known for his helpfulness and true friendship. He is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Peterson; granddaughter, Pam Morris; grandson, Jesse Peterson; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Long and wife Tammy and Bryant "Tub" Long and wife Robin; a sister, Patty Simpson and husband Ricky. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Long; two sisters, Emogene Ashburn and Ann Robison and a brother, Bobby Long.
