Velma Thompson

Velma Thompson, age 74, of Bauxite, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010. She was born January 14, 1936 in Garland City, Arkansas. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Hermus and Lucille Magby Angermiller; an infant son and an infant granddaughter, Kathleen. She is survived by four children, Charles R. Thompson of Benton, Shari Appling (Perry) of Benton, Michael D. Thompson (Barbara) of Oak Hill, Florida and Gary W. Thompson (Shelly) of Bauxite; three sisters, Shirley Parker of Huntsville, Alabama, Georgia Roaten of Bauxite and Betty Miller of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, August 22 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 23 at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Bro. Bob Warford will be officiating.
