James A. Cordell Jr.

James A. Cordell Jr., age 75 of Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. He was born October 23, 1934 in Ward, Arkansas to the late James A. Cordell, Sr. and Odell Baldwin Cordell. He was with the Lions World Services for the Blind for 42 years, the Executive Director for 20 years. He had a Masters Degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church since 1973. He was in the Lions Club for over 40 years. He also served with the Arkansas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Young Cordell; son, James Michael "Mike" Cordell of Little Rock and a sister, Mavis Black of Beebe. Funeral service will be 12 noon, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800 with Dr. Paul R. Sanders officiating. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
