Bertha Beatrice Brown

Bertha Beatrice Brown of Melber, Kentucky, Passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at home following a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family. She was born June 13 1925 at Shirley, Arkansas to the late Jim and Bertha (Thomason) Gibbons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Burley Brown, parents, five sisters, Lois Watts, Ruth Gibbons, Willadee Gibbons, Anna LeeCates, and Reba Duncan. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Orduna and husband Samuel of Melber, Ky.; son, Ronnie Brown and wife Mae of Shirley, AR; five grandchildren, Rhonda Shiflett of Melber, Ky.; Regina Huffmaster of Mayfield, Ky.; Terrie Swift and husband Dale of Murray, Ky.; James Milgate and wife Kim of Wickliffe, Ky.; and Jimmy Brown and wife Patty of St. Joe, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren, Kelly Mathis and husband Jeremy, Tia Beltz and husband Aaron, Jamie Milgate, Mason Swift, Aaron Milgate, Todd Shiflett, Allison Brown, and Adam Brown, three great-great-grandchildren, Lexie Mathis, Olivia Beltz, and Emery Beltz. Casketbearers: James Milgate, Jimmy Brown, Dale Swift, Jeremey Mathis, Mickey Newman, and Ricky Robinson. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 and Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Bobby Ward and Alan Roland officiating. Burial will follow at Settlement Cemetery Shirley, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
