Elvis Caldwell Sherrill

Elvis Caldwell Sherrill, 82, of North Little Rock, was born February 15th, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee to George and Leona Sherrill. He was a 20 year veteran of the FBI until retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Sports Hall of Fame-Lipscomb University, Nashville, Tennessee as a player and a coach. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army and a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ for 40 years, where he served as an elder for 30 years. He is preceded in death by one son, Randall Williams Sherrill and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Williams Sherrill; two sons, Scott Caldwell Sherrill and wife Jamie of England, Arkansas and Philip Eugene Sherrill of Sherwood, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Deresa Sherrill of Sherwood, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Amber Sherrill, Jarred Sherrill and wife Amanda, Jennifer Smith and husband Joel, Taylor Sherrill, Dylan Sherrill, Kimbre Dickey and 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leslie Sherrill and wife Mary of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Athalie Thurmon of Nashville, Tennessee, brother-in-law, James Williams of Birmingham, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock 501.835.3515.
