Charles William Frazier, 80, of Benton died Dec. 3, 2010. He was born in Newport, Ky. on Dec. 29, 1929 to Robert and Bertha Frazier. He was a Christian and an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as an elder. Charles was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He retired from AHTD and USAF/ANG. He was a Benton city alderman as well as serving on the Planning and Zoning Board, the Board of Adjustment, and the Advisory Council Metroplan. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Mignon Frazier; daughter Donna (Gil) Schmitt of St. Louis, Mo.; daughter, Diane (Mark) Wootan of Springfield, Va.; son, Mark (Terri) Frazier of Cabot; and grandchildren: Katie and Jackson Wootan, William and Maria Schmitt, and Brett Frazier. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Avilla on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 300 Avilla East, Alexander, Ark. 72002.
