Hersel Earl Webb

Hersel Earl Webb, 82, of Searcy, died December 5, 2010. He is the son of Hansel and Lois Webb, born July 20, 1928. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne of Searcy; four sons, Greg (Debbie) Webb, Barry (Genia) Webb, Steve (Kay) Webb of Searcy, and Stan (Debbie) Webb of Rogers; and a sister, Vicky Drake of Bald Knob . He was better known as "Big Daddy" to 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Webb; one grandson, David Earl Webb; a great-granddaughter, Emma Webb; and a brother, Carthel Webb. Earl served in the United States Air Force in the Pentagon, and in Okinawa. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Searcy. He loved his God, his family and helping others. Earl leaves a multitude of special friends. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Searcy. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church of Searcy. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Powell Funeral Home. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
