Helen Catherine Ingram

Helen Catherine Ingram, 99 of Hazen, was born September 21, 1911 at Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas and she passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at her home in Hazen. She was the oldest of 5 children born to Jake and Jennie King. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie on June 1, 1979; her parents, and 4 brothers, Doyle, Rufus, Paul and Thomas King. She was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary for over 50 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star serving as a Worthy Mason over 50 years. She was a loving and caring person who loved being around people. Helen is survived by her daughter, Betty Greenwalt and husband, Dorris of Hazen. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to her special caretakers Zola Jackson and Kay Mosby. Visitation for Mrs. Ingram will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 9 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 10 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
