Mildred Short

Mildred Short, 73, of Buckeye, passed away on November 28, 2010. Mildred was born to the late Loda and Louiania Aikens on July 4, 1937 in Chidester, Arkansas. Preceding her in death was her husband Timothy Hugh Short and her sons Kenneth, Nickie and Dennis. Mildred was raised in Camden, Arkansas where she was educated in the Camden public schools. She began her Christian life early on where her mother and grandmother taught her about Christ. In 1986, Mildred met and married the love of her life Timothy H. Short. In Arizona, her career as a LPN showed her extraordinary passion and love for those she cared for. Mildred enjoyed life, good friends and most of all her children She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend for life to all she met. Mildred leaves to cherish her memories daughters Karen (Walter) and Stephanie (Otis); sons, Otha, Billy Ray (Asuman), Willard and Sanford (Tammy); 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces; nephews and a host of relatives and devoted friends.
