Frank Charles Burton

Frank Charles Burton, 75, of Norphlet, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born March 24, 1935 in Norphlet to Henry Hursle Burton and Winnie Mae McDermott Burton. Before retiring Frank was a graduate of Norphlet High School and Ouachita Baptist (College) University and went on to become an independent oil producer. He was a member, a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Norphlet. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife Lyla Dunnavant Burton, of Norphlet; two sons, Frank Scott Burton and wife Julia and Walter Clay Burton, both of Norphlet; daughter, Pam Burton Warren and husband Les, of Hot Springs, Ark.; two granddaughters, Emily Pennington and husband Andy, of Vilonia, Ark. and Caitlyn Burton, of Norphlet; four grandsons, Brandon Burton and wife Molly of Searcy, Ark., Colby Warren, of Hot Springs, Ark., Will Warren, of Hot Springs, Ark. and Chandler Burton, of Norphlet, Ark. and a great-grandson, Brooks Pennington ,of Vilonia, Ark. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church Norphlet with Revs. Gerald Perry and Doug Wills officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will be 2 p.m. till service time today at the church.
