Billy Alyce Bell

Billy Alyce Bell, of Benton, born Sept. 27, 1924, left this world Thursday, Dec.r 23, 2010 to join her childhood sweetheart and husband, R D Bell in heaven. By anyone's standards Billy Alyce lived a life that assured her of her place in the hereafter. Born and raised in England, Ark., to the late William Lee and Ora Faye Reeves Wood, Billy Alyce spent her last 35 years in Benton, Ark. Billy Alyce, an only child, is survived by two sons, Robert Earle Bell and his wife Karen of Stuttgart and William Wood Bell of Fayetteville. She also leaves six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was called Mammaw by the grandkids and the world's greatest mother by Bobby and Woody. She will be deeply missed by her family, her extended family at Parkview Methodist in Benton, and the few remaining bridge players with whom she spent so many wonderful hours. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton. A viewing will be held Sunday at the church from 12:30 – 2 p.m. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. The family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Parkview United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1022, Benton, Ark. 72018.
