Bettye Boileau Stegall

Born to Marcel and Lela Boileau on July 14, 1946 in Warren County, Tenn., Bettye Boileau Stegall, longtime resident of Germantown, Tenn., passed away after a sudden and short illness on Dec. 23, 2010. Bettye is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, William David Stegall Jr.; father Marcel Boileau; mother Lela Boileau; sister Norma Faye Driver; and two brothers, James Driver and Ronald Boileau. She retired after a long career with Methodist Health Care, but her true vocation and passion was expressed in her design work with many, many satisfied clients, several of whom became close friends. Bettye was known by her family and friends for her generous heart and loving spirit and extended those qualities continuously. Bettye is survived by her fiance John Floyd, to whom she was to be married in the summer of 2011. Bettye is also survived by her loving children, William David Stegall III and Dana Michelle Houston and their spouses, Anna Stegall and Patrick Houston. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Sydney Houston and Will, Ben, Max, and Rhett Stegall and a sister, Elaine Barnett. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 28 at Forest Hill East.
