Willie Thomas "W.T." Williams 83, of Clinton, Ark., left this earth for his eternal home with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. He was born April 10, 1927 at Formosa Community, Ark., to the late Vernon and Essie (Ship) Williams. He was raised on Wolverton Mountain and gratuated from Formosa High School where he was known for his skills in basketball. He lived in North West Indiana for 36 years where he raised his family and was employed at Inland Steel Corporation. He moved to Clinton, Ark., near to his boyhood home in 1989 enjoying over 20 years of retirement. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, and made many trips to Nebraska, Iowa, and the Dakotas to pheasant hunt. He also was an avid gardener who had a great talent for growing vegetables and loved having his produce. He was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ, he served and was loved as an elder for many years at the Church of Christ in Indiana where he was sought out for his council and wisdom. He faithfully read and studied the bible and was an excellent adult Sunday school teacher. In later years he lead congregational singing in worship services. He had a heart for missions and planting churches around the world. He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Olay Williams and Nolan Williams, two sisters, Pat Johnson and Berta Mae Crownover. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Emma Sue (Quattlebaum) Williams, his children, Gary and Sonia Williams of Russellville, Ark.; Terry and Janis Williams of North Little Rock, Ark.; Tammy and Dr. Keith Coward of Clinton, Ark.; six grandchildren, Micah Williams, Danielle Steponavich, Melissa Hogan, Cade Williams, Davis Coward, and Emma Coward, five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Evelyn Bearden of Little Rock, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Roy Story, Josh Jones, James Story, Steve Bradley, Sam Shannon Jr., and Dr. Keith Coward. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Ark. A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at Clinton Church of Christ.
