Cecile Ann Moore Faulkner

Cecil Ann Moore Faulkner, age 79, of Benton, passed away on June 29, 2010 at her home in Benton. She was born July 18, 1930 in Crossett, Arkansas. She graduated from Russellville High School and went on to attend Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, Arkansas. She was the beloved matriarch of her family with her greatest accomplishment being that of a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Grandy spent precious time with family and friends playing and singing around the piano. She lived her faith every day. We are all blessed to have known and been touched by her wisdom and love. She worked in the education field in both the Little Rock and Pulaski County Schools for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, B.J. Faulkner; her parents, William H. and Lillian Moore; a brother, Herschel Moore, and sisters, Bettye Stephens and Mary Jo Felts. She is survived by daughter, Billie Cornwell (Lamont) of Benton; son, Richard Faulkner (Brenda) of Springdale; daughter, Diana Shockley of Benton; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Moore (Pat) of Fort Smith; one sister, Nancy Duhamel (Roy) of Jefferson City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Janice Moore of Rogers; brother-in-law, H.M. "Baldy" Faulkner (LaRue) of Russellville, and numerous extended family and friends. A private family graveside service will be followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m.. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Benton with Rev. David Jones and Rev. Robert Cloninger officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Benton, 200 North Market Street, Benton, Arkansas, 72015.
