Berniece M. Richey

Berniece M. Richey, 93, died June 30, 2010 in Springdale, Ark. She was born December 31, 1916 in Scott City, Kan. to Albert J. Canaday and Anna L. Shultz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross A. Richey whom she married in Hutchinson, Kan. on April 16, 1939. Also, preceded in death were three brothers. She was a retired accountant for Traveler's Insurance Company. Survivors include a son, Darryl R. Richey of Springdale, Ark. and two daughters, Joyce J. Ramage of Justin, Texas and Cece Y. Cooper of Overland Park, Kan. There are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, plus one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Friday July 2, 2010 at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, Kan. Private burial will be at Emporia, Kan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ark. 72762.
