James Porter Chilldres, 73, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010. He was born in Little Rock to the late Ralphes Leslie and Effie Lucille Westbrook Chilldres. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Jane Chilldres; and his son, David Leslie Chilldres. James was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. He formerly worked for the Arkansas Gazette in the mail room and then started his own business, C&C Mailing Service. He was a loving and caring, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Nicholson Chilldres; four daughters, Jainie M. Chilldres Poe and husband, Donald, Rachel Green, Sarah Chilldres and Lydia Chilldres; one sister, Diane Sumner and husband, Darrel; two brothers, Horace E. Chilldres and wife, Dorothy and Donnie Chilldres and wife, Joyce; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at the First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Reverend J.N. Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the Church.
