Alvin Wesley Burns

Alvin Wesley Burns, 76, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 6th, 2010 at home. He was born June 7th, 1934 in Pinnacle, Arkansas to James Wesley and Dorothy Scott Burns. Mr. Burns was a career member of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Technical Sergeant after twenty years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Burns; and one sister, Carolyn Burns Menzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Doris Gagnon Burns; one son and daughter-in–law, Sean and April Burns of Lonoke, Arkansas; one niece Kerry Wells; and very special friends, Marc Hansbraugh and Barbara Hansbraugh. A celebration of Alvin's life will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 10th 2010 in the outdoor chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501)835-3515.
