James Grant Geurin, 40, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010. He was born on August 25, 1969 in Hot Springs to Jim and Marilynn Geurin. He graduated from All Saints School in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was a past president and member of the Hot Springs Jaycees. He was an active member of Crossgate Church, where he volunteered with the youth and was instrumental with the Promise Keepers and he participated as a singer with The Witness for four years. He was the owner of Taste of Eden Bakery and Summer Snow Shaved Ice, he drove a bus for Lake Hamilton School, and was former salesman and co-manager of Hobson Motors Company. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Geurin of Hot Springs, four beloved sons, Airman First Class Brandon Geurin of Moody AFB, Valdosta, Georgia, Cody Geurin, Drew Geurin and Preston Geurin all of Hot Springs, his parents, Jim and Marilynn Geurin of Hot Springs, two sisters, Gay Geurin of Maumelle, Ark. and Laurie Clark of Little Rock, Ark. and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Central Baptist Church with Dr. Chuck McAlister and Reverend Coy Sample officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jeffrey Tauth, Dr. Kevin Hale, Dragon Vicentic, Michael King, Jay Wheatley, Michael Baker and the staff and Mary Fithen, nurse practionor at Hot Springs Cardiology Associates. Burial will be private. Memorials have been designate to The Hot Springs Heart Ball, c/o The Caroline Grace Russell Memorial Fund at Regions Bank.
