Jackie Finger Hendrix (Mawmaw), 73 of Little Rock passed away in her sleep on July 6, 2010. Jackie graduated a tiger from LRCH in 1954. She was a retired legal secretary from the firm Quattlebaum, Grooms, Tull and Burrow (the closest she'd come to her dream of being an FBI agent as a child in the 40's). It was here she landed the nickname "Snoop" for her impeccable memory and keen ability to uncover truths. After retiring, these traits became tools for telling fascinating stories about local politicians and celebrities. Jackie was a history book for the underside of Little Rock experiencing moments of beauty and tribulation that she shared with enthusiasm to those around her. She took joy in little things and lived independently in Alexander on twenty acres next to her daughter, Anne. She loved home grown tomatoes from the garden, green olives, peel em and eat em shrimp, bloody marys, ice cream, a good football game and court TV. Jackie was the daughter of B.F. and Hazel Finger. She is preceded in death by her son, Mike Hendrix, her sister Jean Major and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Anne Hendrix Nolley, granddaughters, Marianne and Taylor Nolley, Grandson Jeff Clark, great-grandson, Dakota Clark, sister, Mary Ellen White, three nephews, and two nieces. All of which she loved dearly. Spirited and opinionated Jackie truly had a unique outlook on life. She ate when she wanted to, drank when she wanted to, smoked when she wanted to, got dressed when she wanted to and on July 6 Jackie passed because she wanted to. A visitation will be held Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 2 p.m. Funeral Service will follow immediately at 3 p.m. at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Hwy. 5 North, Bryant, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for landscaping plants to create a memorial garden in her memory. To sign Jackie's online guest book visit www.dialanddudleyfuneralhome.com.
