Eliece Gunter

Eliece Gunter, age 86, of Crossett, Ark. passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010. She was born on March 24, 1924 to Andrew Jackson and Lula Pearl Linch Jones in Lapile, Ark. Mrs. Gunter was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crossett, and a life member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gunter also enjoyed sewing and recently had completed 24 dolls for children at Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was preceded in death by her son, James Gunter and her husband, Jack Gunter. Survivors include; her daughter, Annie Ruth Pitzer and husband Terry of Crossett; grandchildren Rob Blankenship and Paula Stadler, John and Eric Pitzer; great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Chance and Andrew, Lane, Alexa, Jamie and Chris; and her beloved poodle, Cocoa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Crossett with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark.
