Jerry Thompson Kell

Jerry Thompson Kell, 89, of Memphis, Tenn., died Saturday, July 17, 2010. Mrs. Kell was born in Hot Springs, Ark. on April 22, 1921 to Ross Walton and Rema Carson Thompson. Reared in North Little Rock, Ark., she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She moved to Memphis, Tenn. 1957 and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Living Word Fellowship Class and the Forerunners. Mrs. Kell retired from Southern Fabricators, Inc. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth K. Kell, she leaves two daughters, Carolyn Galloway of Memphis, and Kaye Lowe (Bill) of North Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren, Frank C. Holloman III (Kelli) and Kelly Holloman Gardner (Rory) of Memphis, and Bert Walton Lowe (Candice), and Kenneth Marcus Lowe (Dede) of North Little Rock, Ark., along with five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. Interment will be Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Memorials may be sent to Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary, P.O.
