Edna Dell Majors

Edna Dell Majors, age 83 of Perry, Arkansas passed away on July 19, 2010. Born March 1, 1927 at Belleville, AR to Lee and Jennie Moudy. Mrs. Majors was a homemaker, retired cosmetologist and a retired Postmaster of 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty Jane Moudy, Anna Belle Moudy, and Elnora Sherman and grandson Kevin Bradley Majors. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph L. Majors of the home; daughter, Linda Scroggin (Jon) of Little Rock; sons Danny Majors and Mike Majors of Perry and Gary Majors (Mary Ann) of Perryville; grandchildren, Matt Scroggin, Stacey Scroggin, Gennifer Majors, Josh Majors and Isaac Majors; brothers, Opal Lee Moudy of Jonesboro, Dr. Bob Moudy of Chaffee. Mo., Larry Moudy of Valley View Texas, plus many nieces and nephews. She was a charter member of Second Baptist Church in Perryville. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the church from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m., at Second Baptist Church in Perryville with Bro. Glenn Alley officiating. Burial will be at Russell Cemetery in Belleville following the service. Pallbearers will be Matt Scroggin, Josh Majors, Isaac Majors, Harold Majors, Ed Fair and Jon Scroggin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Carter, Jimmy Ray Evans, Harold Cox, David Stone, and Herby Branscum. Funeral to be under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Arkansas Hospice or the charity of your choice.
