Everett Roy Cannon

Everett (Roy) Cannon, 92, of Fort Smith, passed away, Saturday, July 24, 2010. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, an Army- combat engineer veteran of WWII, a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 208, VFW, American Legion, and UCT. He was a retired accountant, from Dixie Cup. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cannon. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday, at Fentress Mortuary. Mass will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Christ the King Catholic Church, followed by burial, with military honors, in Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary, of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Annette, of the home; son, Richard Cannon and wife Janice, of Cabot; sister, Louise Breen, of Calima Mesa, Calif.; brother, Dale Cannon, of Kibler; one granddaughter, Shanna DeMoss, of Jacksonville, Fla., and three great-grandchildren, Braxton, Brayden and Hallie.
