Charles "Hillbilly" Roth

Charles "Hillbilly" Roth, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 after a brief illness. He was born April 5, 1947. He is a well known man around North Little Rock, where he lived for 25 years. He lived life to the beat of his own drum, with a ready laugh and a sense of humor. Charles was a real character in his life and he will be sadly missed by a host of friends, so from Hillbilly "Thanks for the memories". He lost his faithful mother, Clara Davis in 2003 and is survived by his sister, Phyllis Hogan; three nephews, John Hogan, Rodney Hogan and Michael Hogan, all of Bossier City, Louisiana and several cousins. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Abington Place for all the care and compassion for Charles. They were really sweet to him. We also wish to thank the doctors and nurses at University Medical Center for taking such good care of him and for trying so hard to help him. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
