Ruby Irene Davidson

Ruby Irene Davidson, age 85, of Little Rock, formerly of Lake Village, died Thursday May 27, 2010, at her home. She was born October 7, 1924, in Lake Village, the daughter of the late George W. Stanley and Mattie Hollis Stanley. She was a homemaker and owner operator of a daycare center in Lake Village and a member of Lake Village Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Davidson Sr., by a son, Mike Davidson and by a grandson, Michael Hollis Davidson. Survivors are three sons, John W. Davidson Jr. and Charles Darwin "Skip" Davidson, both of Little Rock and Tom Davidson of Galveston, Texas; a daughter, Lisa Kay Davidson of Little Rock, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Lake Village Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Innocents Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. In Lieu of Flowers, the family of Ruby Davidson request that memorial donations be made to Lake Village Baptist Church or to the ALS Association (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis "Lou Gehrig's" Disease).
