Claude Joseph Westphale

Claude J. Westphale, 86, of Scott, Arkansas passed away on June 7, 2010, at the home of his son in St. Louis, Missouri. Claude was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 12, 1923 to the late William and Rose Stolte Westphale. He is also preceded in death by his wife Pearl "Pud" Steele Westphale. Claude was a WWII veteran and earned five bronze medals for his valor, he was a longtime member of the Little Rock Country Club and President of Steele Plantation in Scott, Arkansas. Claude maintained his great sense of humor even during his illness and will surely be missed by his many friends and family. He is survived by his son, Steele (Barb) Westphale; grandsons, Tom Westphale and Matt (Lindsey) Bray and a brother, Don Westphale (Margret) all of St. Louis. A graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to All Souls Church, P.O. Box 40, Scott, Ark. 72142.
