George Edwin Selman

George Edwin Selman, age 74, of Monticello passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, at his home in Monticello, Ark. The son of the late William A. Selman and Alice Mosley Selman, he was born Sept. 7, 1935 in Kingsland, Ark. He was a retired Cottonbelt Railroad Conductor, U.S. Air Force Veteran, 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Monticello. Mr. Selman enjoyed fishing and his most important attribute was providing for his family. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Selman and two sisters, Mary Selman Knight and Ethel Selman Langford. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Ann Burke Selman of Monticello; one son, Paul Andrew Selman and wife, Nancy of Monticello; a grandson, Daniel Craig of Las Vegas, Nev.; two granddaughters, Danielle Curry and husband, John of Fayetteville and Sydney Selman of Monticello; and one great granddaughter, Alina Curry and one great grandson, Brodie Curry, both of Fayetteville. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel by Rev. Keith Underhill. Burial will follow in the Mt.
