Doyle Lee "Pete" Kirk

Doyle Lee "Pete" Kirk, born August 24, 1924, in Georgetown, Ark., to Phillip and Duetta Sims Kirk, expired June 12, in Little Rock. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Hamm Kirk; son, Blaine Kirk and wife, Kay, of Benton, Ark.; granddaughter, Cheryl Kirk, of Benton; grandsons Jason Kirk, serving in Afghanistan, and Paul Kirk of Maryland; two great- grandchildren; sister, Hazel Gregg of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Kirk, sister, Fay Arnn and brother, Earl Kirk. Pete served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired paint contractor. Pete will be remembered for his love for family, friends, and country; his humility and integrity. At his request, his body was donated to medical research and there will be no funeral.
