George E. Tenney, Jr., age 90, of North Little Rock, passed away June 20, 2010 surrounded by his wife, three sons and grand daughter. Born December 14, 1919, he was the son of the late George and Ruth Tenney. He was predeceased by sister, Bodine Russell, and brother, John. Grace Tenney, wife of 67 years, survives him. He is also survived by brother, Leigh, of North Little Rock and sons, George, wife Judith, Phillip and John, along with four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He graduated from North Little Rock High School and the College of the Ozarks. As a member of the Greatest Generation, he served as an officer in the United States Army in both World War II and Korea. In the Pacific Theater he served in Burma with the Office of Strategic Services. As a business executive in the poultry industry, he served as president of the Southeastern Poultry & Egg Association. He was a leader, encourager and provider to his family. He was a leader in Men's Bible Study Fellowship and a long time member of Fellowship North. The family is grateful to care giver, Annetta Molina, Laila Zakrzewski at St. Luke's Respite Care, the nurses, staff and doctors at Baptist Hospital with special thanks to Graham Reid, Md. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Fellowship North with Pastor Craig Loibner officiating. A private internment will occur at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will occur Tuesday evening from 4 to 6 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 N.
