Jearl Smith, age 68, of North Crossett, Ark. died Wednesday November 3, at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. Born December 29, 1941 at Moro Bay, Ark. a son of the late Roy Smith and Etta Hogue Smith. He was retired from A.O.P. (Arkansas Oregon Pneumatics) with 38 years of service, member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, was a graduate of Hermitage High School and loved fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Also, preceding him in death was a brother Herman "Hammer" Smith. Survivors are his wife Sue Oden Smith whom he married November 18, 1989; three daughters, Marilyn Smith and spouse Bruce, Crossett, Ark., Becky Johnson and spouse David, Hamburg, Ark., Lisa Anderson and spouse Mike, Cabot, Ark.; one brother, Roy Lynn Smith and spouse Donna, Moro Bay, Ark.; one sister, Wynoka Ann Smith and spouse Sambo, Hilo, Ark. and 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a favorite fishing buddy "Granny" Retha Oden and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services 10 a.m., Saturday November 6, Mt. Olive Baptist Church in North Crossett. Burial in Marsden Cemetery (Bradley County), by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 5-8 p.m., Friday November 5, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in North Crossett.
