Margariet Lucille Dupree

Margariet Lucille Dupree, widow of Ivan Dupree passed on to her glory this day, November 6th, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur Clark and Ethel Clark; son Carlton Eugene Dupree of the home; sisters Barbara Clark Roach, Dora Clark Vanderbilt of DeWitt and Doris Clark; brothers Otis, Daris and Orvil Clark, all of DeWitt. She is survived by a son Ronald Dupree; daughters Marquitta L. Free (Dewane) of Little Rock and Katherine Penley (Richard) of Sherwood. Other survivors are sisters Frankie Clark Wright, Geneva Clark Goodnight and Zelma Clark from North Little Rock and brother Carl Clark of DeWitt; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mom managed to raise 4 children on very little, somehow managing to keep it all together, all the while engendering in us a love of the Lord that has stood us in good stead long after she reluctantly let us fly the nest of her love. Of all that she taught us about life, perhaps the most important thing was the gift of giving, even when you have little to give. We are excited that Mom will be reuniting with our brother Gene after many years of grieving and she will be surprised to find three great grandchildren to welcome her whom she never got to meet; Angel Omar Vanegas, and Calen and Jordan Connolly. Mom loved babies and now she will have a lapful to look after. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 11th, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Healey Roth Funeral Home with Vance Free and Jimmy Batterton officiating.
