James Harris, Jr.

Deacon James Harris Jr. 75, of Little Rock, Ark. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at All American Care in Little Rock from a long battle of diabetes and kidney failure. He retired from the North Little Rock Sanitation Department. He's survived by his wife of 52 years, Elsie Harris; one brother, Rev. Richard Harris (Thelma) of North Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Ora Dean Clay (Jessie) and Geneva King of North Little Rock, Ark.; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Home going services will be Saturday, November 13, 2010, 11 a.m., at Samaritan Hill Baptist Church, 1001 East 13th Street, North Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Rest In Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Ark. Family visitation: Friday, November 12, 2010, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
