Betsy M. Price

Betsy M. Price, 92, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Magnolia Health Care & Rehabilitation. Born August 14, 1918 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of the late James Holmes Meek and Geraldine Jordan Meek. Betsy attended Queen's College in Charlotte, North Carolina where she was a member of Chi Omega. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado where she served as Sunday School teacher, Circle Chairman and Deacon. She volunteered at Interfaith Help Services since it was organized in 1995. Betsy volunteered at Warner Brown Hospital for over 20 years and also volunteered in the Soup Kitchen at the Salvation Army. Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, George W. Price. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Price Bounds (Ted), of Magnolia; son, Jim Price (Michelle), of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Katherine Adcox, Jonathan Shaver, Jessica Price, Sarah Price, James Price, Tracy Colton & Jenifer Volner and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church in Magnolia under the direction of Young's with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be held 2PM at Arlington Memorial Park in El Dorado.
