Leathel Hobby

Leathel Hobby, 97, of Benton, passed away Nov. 11, 2010. She was born Feb. 7, 1913 in Grant County, Arkansas to the late Joe and Mattie Dorsey. Leathel was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harley Hobby; five brothers; two sisters; one granddaughter, Vicki Abbott and great-grandson, Jimmy Duplissey. Survivors, sons, Jimmy Hobby and Donald Hobby and wife, Lois, all of Benton; sisters, Dorothy Elmore, North Little Rock, Marie Watson, Fordyce; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Church services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sardis United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis.
