Cabot Alderman Thomas K. Armstrong was born in Tillar, Ark., on Dec. 16, 1946 and went to reside in Heaven on Nov. 14, 2010. Tom represented Cabot as an alderman with wisdom and passion for eight years. He was a retired Senior Msgt. who served his country for 30 years at the Little Rock Air Force Base and was a Gulf War Veteran. After retiring he worked as a home inspector in the Cabot area. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot and a board member of Lonoke County Christian Clinic. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. Tom never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He was an amazing son, husband, father, poppy, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Tom is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melanie Armstrong; two sons, Jason and wife, Krystne, Armstrong and Jesse Huttig; two daughters, Angie Armstrong Hoschouer and Kristal Armstrong; two grandchildren, Fox Hoschouer and Lillian Rose all of Cabot; his father, Harry Armstrong, of Beebe; father-in-law, Jack Webb, of Cabot; two sisters, Pat (Edward) Woods and Vivian Ellis Sandford both of Beebe; two brothers, Fred (Mary Ellen) Armstrong of Beebe and Jim (Jane) Armstrong of Nevada; many beloved nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Melinda (Steve) Bear of Jacksonville and Linda Webb of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Armstrong; sister, Vicky Davis; mother-in-law, Carolyn Huttig; brothers-in-law, Bill Ellis, Jack Webb, and Richard Webb. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Cabot with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. Memorials may be made to Lonoke County Christian Clinic, P.O.
