Captain Tommy Ralph Turnage, 74, of Griffithville died Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Gwenda E. Lockhart Turnage, a son, Steven Ralph Turnage (Jenny) of Searcy, Arkansas; a step-son, Johnny Merrriman (Donna) of Conway, Arkansas; a daughter, Jacklyn Marie Turnage of Benton, a step-daughter, Deanna Cameron (Jerry) of McRae; a brother, Linville Turnage (Joyce) of Cabot, a sister, Kathleen Richards (Cecil) of Griffithville; a sister, Marilyn Sue Highfill (Allen) of Cabot; seven grandchildren: Daniel, Lora, Nikki, Hunter, Scott, Cody and Josiah; two great-grandsons, Brody and Breyer and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him. Funeral services were held at Judson Baptist Church of the Griffithville Northside Community at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Burial in Welcome Home Cemetery by Garth Funeral Home.
