Derek Michael Traweek,18, of McAlester, died September 24, 2010 in Edmond. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the S. Arch Thompson Auditorium. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Derek was born February 13, 1992, the son of Winston Vann & Karen Renee (Story) Traweek. He graduated from McAlester High School in the class of 2010, where he was a drummer in the McAlester High school band. Derek was currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma. Derek loved listening to music, go to heavy metal shows and skateboarding. He is surived by his parents, Vann & Karen Traweek, sisters, Amber and Heather Traweek, nephews, Hunter Weiher and Ethan Carney, soul mate, Alley, grandparents, Dr and Mrs M.W. Traweek and Elaine Newman, uncle, John Traweek, anuts, Holli Connell, Gena Young and Lisa and cousins, Matthew & liz Connell, Lisa & Mart Traweek, Timothy Andrew Story and Charles Todd Story.
