CHARLES "RICKEY" HARRIS, age 64, of Alexander, and in his own words, "kicked the bucket" Oct. 7, 2010. He was born April 23, 1946 in Benton, to Charlie W. Harris and Virgie (Dougan) Harris. He was the owner of Springhill Farms and Ozark Foods and was the previous co-owner, with his wife, Chrys, of The Flower Cart in Benton. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie W. Harris and two nieces, Shannon Harris and LeAnn Harris. Survivors include his wife, Chrys (Harrison) Harris; son, Heath Harris; daughter, Heather (Harris) Reeves; grandchildren, Cody, Andrew, and Gracie, all of Alexander; brother, Bobby Harris of Bryant; nephew, Brian Harris of Bismarck, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Todd Caldway and Rev. Kim Hammer officiating. Interment will follow at Jacobs Cemetery in Grant County. Serving as pallbearers will be Jab Rowland, David Woodall, Randy Mooney, Greg Calaway, Robbie Dougan, Jim Thomas, and Alan Dawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Ramsey, Doug Kindy, and Byron Calaway. Visitation will be held from 4– 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at the funeral home. Rickey's family extends a special thank you to the paramedics, Dr. Gary McCallum and his staff, all the Baptist Home Health nurses, and physical therapists.
