Steven Joseph Amo, age 58, of Hazen, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010. He was a former truck driver and he had a small engine repair shop in Hazen.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Iva Irene Amo and a step-son, Billy Joe Orton. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Michael and Justin Amo of Waycross, Georgia; two brothers Jim Amo of Louisiana and Dick Amo of Texas; two sisters, Susan of Syracuse, New York and Carol of Louisiana; two step-daughters, Barbara Weatherley and Michael DePriest of Hazen and Linda Strohl and husband, Rickey of Hazen; one step-son, Leo Orton and wife, Cindy of Carlisle; step-daughter-in-law, Margarita Orton of Carlisle; step-grandchildren, Troy, Stacy and Chris Weatherley, Matthew (Meredith) Strohl, Lucas (Kristina) Strohl, Miranda Schenebeck, Tyler (Allison) Schenebeck, Manaser, David, and Benjamin Orton; two step-great-grandchildren, Layne and Gavin Strohl and several special friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Hazen Cemetery.
