Maurice Day

Maurice Jerome Day, age 83, of Pine Bluff, and a retired real estate abstractor, died Tuesday. He was an active member of Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he had served in many capacities. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Elkins Day, whom he married on June 4, 1960; a daughter, Lee Ann Day Shell of Los Altos, California; two sons, M. Jerry Day, Jr., M.D. of Wollongong, Australia, and Thomas Elkins Day, M.D. of Searcy; a brother Charles L. Day of Waskom, Texas; two sisters, Katharine Huber of Jonesboro and Marjorie Huber of Weiner; his grandchildren, Natalie, Meredith, Benjamin, and Christopher Shell, Olivia and Angus Day, and Nathaniel and Alyssa Day; and many other loving family and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Jason Ferguson and Reverend Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
