William Austin Strange

William Austin Strange Oct. 21, 1922 - Sept. 1, 2010. William Austin Strange, 87, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at Ozark Health Medical Center Clinton, Ark. He was born Oct. 21, 1922 at Hamilton, Mont. He was survived by Sharron Strange Buschman, daughter; Michael Bradley Burt, grandson; Christie Greene Burt, mother of William Austin Burt, great-grandson; and Ashley Gail Burt, great-granddaughter, Robert Bryan Burt, grandson and Alicia Jean Burt, wife to Bryan, mother to Miles Austin Burt and Lance Bradley Burt, great-grandson. The family will miss him and remember all the wonderful times they shared. Bill grew up in Hamilton, Mont., where his love for the outdoors and fishing became a part of his life. He spent part of his life in Houston, Texas, where he was a building contractor and was married to Treece Strange, his high school sweetheart. During WWII he joined the Merchant Marines and served his term of duty. After that he was self employed as a builder. When Treece and Bill retired, they moved to Fairfield Bay, Ark. After Treece passed away, he remarried Dean Goldstein. His life included Kirk of the Hills Church, where he helped with building and art projects, The Little Theatre Group and on any projects where he was needed. He also had many friends and golfing buddies. He shared his life with everyone. He lived his life well and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The family wants to give a special thanks to all the wonderful people who helped take care of him and friends who supported him. Special thanks to: Joyce Dobbs, Ernestine Gandesbury, Evelyn Kirk, Ozark Health Medical Center nursing staff, Minister Bob Hadley, to all his friends and to my sons who loved him dearly. We love you Dad, Sharon, Brad, Bryan. Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the church, Kirk of the Hills, phone 501-884-3304.
